Doll made in the likeness of U.S. Senator and Republican presidential candidate Barry M. Goldwater, 1964. Plastic, with hand-painted detailing. Copyright 1964 REMCO Industries, Harrison, New Jersey. Enclosed in the original packaging, as sold when issued.
REMCO issued this whimsical plastic figurine in the likeness of Goldwater for the 1964 presidential campaign (along with a similar doll in the likeness of President Lyndon B. Johnson). Easily one of the most memorable campaign novelty items, and a great example of '60s kitsch, they are becoming increasingly scarce.
