Pinback button advocating woman suffrage, c. 1915.
Less than a century ago women were second-class citizens, denied the most basic political right: the right to vote. It took generations of activists to change the system, and it was not until the second decade of the 20th century that genuine reform came within sight.
We offer a rare celluloid button issued by the woman suffrage movement around the turn of the last century.
