Pocket mirror promoting Robert Kennedy for president, 1968.
It seemed to many Americans in the spring of 1968 that the promise of John F. Kennedy's shattered presidency would be redeemed by his brother, Robert, whose political rise had been swift and certain. Destiny is seldom a word used in the context of a political campaign, but here it seemed unusually apt.
This mirror had gone into production in the days leading up to the California primary, but was never distributed.
