Pinback button opposing President John F. Kennedy, c. 1962. In April 1962, angered by an abrupt increase in the price of steel, Kennedy was overheard making reference to union officials as "sons of bitches." Steel workers' unions responded by issuing "SOB Club" pins, such as this one, with the disclaimer that SOB stood for "Sons of Business." Classic Kennedy-related satire. These examples all show trace mottling (representative example shown).
