During tobacco's golden age, in the first half of the 20th century, cigar companies would issue special brands for the partisans of major party presidential candidates. It was a safe bet that a majority of the electorate smoked! Having capitalized on the hoopla, the brands would be discontinued shortly after the election, and many of the beautifully printed labels never saw use. We offer these examples issued for Franklin Roosevelt's 1936 reelection campaign, both in mint, unused condition. The color lithography, now a lost art, is truly outstanding!
