Package of cigarettes, a special brand promoting Adlai Stevenson for president, 1952. Tobacco Blending Corporation, Louisville. Unopened and sealed in original cellophane. In an era when a majority of the electorate smoked, it's no surprise that cigarette manufacturerers hit upon the idea of selling campaign cigarettes. This company catered to both political persuasions, issuing Eisenhower and Stevenson novelty brands, but we suspect the product was identical. Perhaps the Adlai's had lower tar.
