Christmas greeting from Sen. Robert F. Kennedy and family, 1967.
From the last Christmas prior to the assassination, this card was special-ordered by the Kennedy family and mailed to political allies, Congressional colleagues, family and friends. It features a whimsical psychedelic design, with the 10 Kennedy children riding in an antique car, cropped so that RFK, Jr. appears to be dangling from rear bumper; Christopher holds up a sign with "Santa in '67" printed like a campaign slogan. On the back, Kennedy is pictured beneath a word bubble that reads, "...would you believe in Santa in '68, too?"
One of only a few we have seen on the market in recent years, and the first we have offered. This is a fine example, with a few light creases at the corners.
