Kefauver won landslide victories in each of the three elections in which he was a candidate for the Senate, culminating in 1960, when he received 72% of the vote. He would not live to finish his third term, however, suffering a massive heart attack on the Senate floor in 1963. This pinback dates to Kefauver's final campaign.
