LIFE OF ROOSEVELT, a campaign biography of Theodore Roosevelt intended for boys, 1904. Author credited only by the initials "B.A." Privately published (no printer or publishing house given). 16mo, approx. 40 pages (not paginated), in original paper wrappers. Illustrated with woodcuts. Cover features a woodcut of a book, with Roosevelt pictured on the cover. Frontise plate of Roosevelt in cavalry uniform. Various scenes and personages in Roosevelt's life depicted throughout; i.e. a bear hunt, dedication of the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, cowboy breakfast, Panama Canal, etc.Unusual, crudely executed volume, obviously produced by an ardent admirer of TR who felt the need to contribute something to the campaign. We can't recall seeing another copy.
