Display card of 24 "Keep U.S. Out of War" pinback buttons opposing American intervention in World War II, 1939. Buttons made by Philadelphia Badge Co., Philadelphia, with stated 1939 copyright at curl. Card features an enlargement of the design on the buttons, with two rows of six pinned to either side.
Fully intact card, as was displayed in stores. From a hoard discovered in a basement in New Bedford, Massachusetts, a merchant's unsold remainder stock withdrawn following Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor in Dec. 1941 (prior to which isolationism had been much in fashion). We sell the buttons individually for $12.95 (see item 2668).
