Box of "Roosevelt" and "Willkie" campaign cigars, promoting Franklin Roosevelt and Wendell Willkie for president, 1940. Contains 10 large cigars, five with Roosevelt and five with Willkie wrappers (the cigars themselves have been replaced with wooden dowels for display purposes). Inner label pictures the rival candidates above the legend, YOUR CHOICE FOR PRESIDENT, which is repeated on the lid. Exterior of box shows some scattered soil and staining; interior is excellent.
Fun campaign novelty, just as it would have appeared at a drug store counter in 1940!
