Does Legacy Americana sell originals or reproductions?
Legacy Americana provides a Warranty of Authenticitywith every purchase. This warranty guarantees, without exception, that any antique or collectible we sell is completely original and not a reproduction. If authenticity is ever called into question, you may return the item and we will refund the purchase price.
How does Legacy Americana acquire its inventory?
We have established close relationships with dealers and collectors all over the country. Our reputation for honest, fair dealing means we get offered a lot of material. We have amassed one of the largest political Americana inventories in the world, and are constantly acquiring more. We make several buying trips each year, attending major shows and auctions, and we do a lot of trading on eBay. We enjoy buying this stuff as much as selling it...maybe even more!
Why are the items in the General Catalog so inexpensive?
We base our prices on a number of factors---supply, or our ability to keep an item in stock, being one. In most instances, we include an item in the General Catalog either because we are able to maintain a supply, or because we expect to be able to replace our supply as it sells. This is reflected in our pricing strategy, which is to make these items available to the greatest number of customers at the lowest possible prices.
Are credit card payments secure?
We provide a certified SSL connection for transmission of sensitive data, including credit card account information. When you see a solid key or locked padlock icon in the lower status bar of your browser window, this indicates that the page is secured through the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. Pages requesting financial information should always have one of these icons.
Is my personal information protected?
Legacy Americana respects your privacy and your need for confidentiality. When you entrust us with sensitive personal information, we assume responsibility for ensuring the privacy and security of that information. While no system in this age of interconnectedness is immune to security breeches, we have put in place strong physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to prevent the unauthorized access to your personal information. Does Legacy Americana charge sales tax?
Arizona residents must pay 6.1% sales tax unless they present an exemption certificate from the Arizona Department of Revenue (see Conditions of Sale).
Does Legacy Americana offer extended payment and layaway?
In general, payment is due within five business days. However, we don't want you to forego that special item for your collection simply because you're between paychecks or had an unexpected dental bill. On occasion, you may need a little extra time to cover your Legacy Americana purchases. With a 15% deposit, we can defer payment on any invoice up to 30 days. With a minimum 25% deposit, invoices of $250.00 or more may be paid over 90 days, with installments due every 30 days (layaway). Deposits are nonrefundable. Auction invoices excluded from layaway. Any balance unpaid after 90 days is subject to a finance charge, or cancellation of the sale. To arrange extended payment or layaway, please make inquiry at time of purchase.
Does Legacy Americana offer gift certificates?
We offer gift certificates in any denomination of $25.00 or more. To redeem your gift certificate, enter the code when you go through checkout, or enroll your certificate and apply the credit to a future order (requires account activation).
Can I make changes to my order after it is placed?
Most orders are processed within one business day of receipt. If payment accompanies the order, item(s) purchased will often ship the same day. Revisions are permitted while the order remains in an open or unresolved status. Once an order has been processed and shipped, the customer must contact Customer Service or call 1-800-675-5838 during business hours to resolve any problems arising after the sale. Backordered items may be cancelled at any time.
How soon can I expect my order to arrive?
Most orders ship within one business day, and often the same day if processed before noon MST. You will receive a confirmation e-mail when your order has shipped. Legacy Americana offers standard and expedited shipping services. Our standard service is via the U.S. Postal Service, and most packages are delivered within 3-5 business days (some may take longer, up to 15 business days). We offer guaranteed Overnight and Second Business Day service via FedEx. For a small fee, we can guarantee that your order will ship from our facility the same business day, until 3 p.m. MST. Will Legacy Americana discount a large purchase?
Legacy Americana offers volume discounts on select General Catalog items when purchased in quantities of 10 or more, up to 75% off list price, subject to availability. We will quote our lowest price for qualifying items upon request. A minimum order is required to receive volume discounts. In the case of advertised sales or promotions, discounts will apply automatically or you may be asked to enter a promotional code. If I am unhappy with my purchase, can I return it?
Legacy Americana has a generous, no-questions-asked Return Policy. If your are less than fully satisfied with any regular, non-auction purchase, return it within five business days for a refund, replacement with a similar item, or credit toward another purchase. For return authorization, contact Customer Support or call 1-800-675-5838 during regular hours of operation. Please do not return any item without prior authorization.
How frequently is the website updated, and can I be notified of updates?
Legacy Americana updates the website routinely, with major new listings of American campaign and cause memorabilia at least once a month. We have an inventory of thousands of items, and more arrives at our warehouse every day. We encourage our customers to check back often. Does Legacy Americana buy?
Legacy Americana is constantly in search of vintage American campaign, cause and presidential memorabilia to serve an ever-expanding clientele of private collectors and institutions. We are prepared to make competitive cash offers for important single items, select groups of items, and collections of any size. Emphasis is placed on election-related ephemera, but any object of historical interest will be considered, and we love the unusual.
