One of the undisputed classics of 20th century political buttons, depicting the Republican nominee on an airplane barnstorming the Capitol; the legend, LAND-ON across the wings, WASHINGTON below. Few actually got into circulation, judging by its rarity. One collector, Ed Veleber, is credited with visiting the factory during the election and socking some away, which he doled out to the hobby over decades. We don't know the provenance of this one, but it is in "factory new" condition! Examples have flown past $4000 at auction, most settling in the $2500-3000 range.
