Andrew Jackson won the popular vote by a narrow margin but lost to John Quincy Adams when the election was thrown to the House of Representatives. He would return to win decisively in 1828. One of three medalets struck by Jackson's supporters in 1824 to promote his candidacy, and one of the first campaign items produced in America. Fine specimen showing average wear.
