Ribbon promoting Benjamin Harrison for president, 1892. Celluloid plaque bearing engraved likeness of Harrison and facsimile signature below, tied with blue and red silk ribbons to a red, white and blue muslin backing ribbon. This unique style of ribbon, the effect resembling scrimshawing on ivory, had a very limited production life, the only examples we have seen being from the 1892 Harrison campaign.
