Badge promoting Grover Cleveland for president and Allen Thurman for vice president, 1888. Gilt brass shell with inset photographs. DeWitt GC 1888-21. Irregular oval shell on which are mounted photographs of Cleveland and Thurman, in oval horseshoe frames with shield and crossed olive branches below, suspended by double loops from clasp in the form of eagle perched on an oblong panel with stars. DeWitt notes: "Made in Chicago by W. Hill & Co., Wholesale Jewelers."
One of only a few jugate badges recorded for this ticket, as well as the largest, this is a superior example.
