Poster promoting Franklin D. Roosevelt for governor of New York, 1928. M.B. Brown Printing & Binding Co., New York. Very light age toning and wrinkles. A few short edge tears in upper and lower margins, not affecting printing, have been repaired with archival tape. Excellent display presence and above average for this poster.
A similar format Al Smith poster was also issued by Brown, Roosevelt having entered the race for New York governor when Smith ran for president. While Smith lost to Herbert Hoover in a blowout, FDR was beginning his own ascent to the White House, and would defeat Hoover four years later in an even bigger rout.
