With strict wartime limits on the manufacture of nonessential goods, and President Roosevelt facing only token opposition in his bid for reelection, the campaigns produced relatively few pinbacks in 1944. This one quotes from a speech by FDR in which he proclaimed, "We are going to win this war, and win the peace the follows." Though he would be victorious at the polls, Roosevelt would not live to see the battlefield victory he promised.
