Our April Gallery update was planned prior to the events in the Middle East. We had acquired a small collection of World Wars I & II home front pinbacks, and planned to marry them with a group of Douglas MacArthur, along with some Span-Am. That the country might be at war overseas by the time these items were listed did not factor into the equation.
Whether or not this is good timing, we are of the belief that the collecting of Home Front is still in its infancy, and presents a unique opportunity for collectors from an investment standpoint. Few areas of Americana are as visually and historically interesting, and inspire as much patriotic pride. Most pins can still be acquired for less than $100, and we are only beginning to recognize what's rare. There is a lot of room for growth.
