Berry bowl, a souvenir of "John Davis Day," Clarksburg, West Virginia, 1924. Crystal glass. Inscription in base, "Compliments of Hazel-Atlas Glass Co., John W. Davis Day, Aug. 11-24, Clarksburg, W. Va."
Davis remains the only major party presidential candidate to hail from West Virginia, and material from his failed 1924 campaign is scarce and desirable. This bowl was manufactured by a glass company in his home town of Clarksburg, and is one of the few 3-D objects known for Davis. Mint example.
