In his failed bid for the White House in 1936, Kansas governor Alf Landon had the ardent support of the business community, including the relatively small demographic of Depression-era women business owners. The Landon Business Women's League was based in Vermont, one of only two states carried by the Republican ticket, and claimed several hundred members nationwide. We acquired this litho button and a celluloid variant (see item #5534) from the daughter of the national secretary.
