Poster promoting Leonard Wood for president, 1920. Stoneman Press, Columbus, Ohio. Issued for the Republican primaries. Trimmed closely at left edge. Running with the blessing of the family of Theodore Roosevelt, Wood was the early frontrunner and won the New Hampshire primary. However, his hawkish politics were out of step with the party, and he was passed over for the nomination for the moderate Warren Harding. We haven't seen more than a few posters from Wood's campaign in 20 years, and this is the first we have offered.
