Pinback button opposing President Richard M. Nixon, c. 1973. Dates to Watergate. Gahagan Douglas was Nixon's opponent for Senate in 1950, the infamous "Pink Lady" campaign, in which Nixon accused Douglas of Communist sympathies. This button circulated decades later, when Nixon was under House investigation for Watergate.
