Despite having lost the two previous elections as the party's nominee, Adlai Stevenson was again a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1960. Unable to compete with more energetic contenders, he was forced to withdraw early in the campaign; hence, little Stevenson material from 1960 is available.
