William Jennings Bryan, the great populist orator and three-time Democratic presidential standard-bearer, takes center stage in this month's offerings. "The Great Commoner" was also known as "The Anti-Trust Champion" and that moniker appears on a rare celluloid button, possibly the only example known, offered in the Gallery. Several other rare pinbacks, badges and studs are featured, along with one of the oddest Bryan items we've ever encountered, a miniature coffin bearing his likeness and the inscription, "Talked to Death" -- poking fun at the fact that he was not a man of few words.
Bryan's contemporaries McKinley, Teddy Roosevelt, Taft and Wilson, are also well represented. There's even a "Silver Dick" Bland badge for good measure.
