Cigar box for "Roosevelt" brand cigars, c. 1898. Atkinson Cigar Co., Denver. Labels feature portrait of Theodore Roosevelt in uniform of U.S. cavalry colonel. Inner label also depicts the future president in his position as U.S. Secretary of the Navy, and "in the field" during Spanish-American War. Exterior shows heavy soil and wear, but interior excellent. Rare.
