Tokens of the Gilded Age

This month we feature objects from the latter years of the 19th century, a period Mark Twain aptly named The Gilded Age, for its excess and superficial splendor. It was a golden era for political accessories and swag, and has bequeathed us a staggering array of tokens, medals and badges.

We have another installment from the political exonumia collection we've been offering over the past several updates, featuring many rare and high grade issues from the campaigns of 1880, 1884, 1888 and 1892. If sales are any indication, this remains a popular category with collectors.
