Impressive high-relief medal evoking Grant's conciliatory gestures upon Lee's surrender, which included permitting Confederate soldiers to keep their horses and rifles. Choice specimen with fine detail in the engraving (down to individual blades of grass!) and bright, prooflike surfaces.
